This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: this describes an incomplete feature, not a bug. Currently supported: the RFC-80 column-family foundation for wide tables has been merged (#11559). Pending: column-family (CF) level compaction scheduling (HUDI-8061) is not yet implemented - no merged PR found. Keeping open.
