This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: this describes an incomplete docs improvement, not a bug. Currently supported: the existing compaction documentation. Pending: the proposed doc improvement in PR #8381, which was closed without merging (base asf-site), so this work remains outstanding. Keeping open.
