Review Comment:
   we are throwing exception for every record now, compared to previously, 
where we were only throwing exception just for 1 record.  
   
   Test was getting more complex to keep the same old behavior. I kept the 
logic simple. intention of the test is to validate that during failures, stats 
are not produced. 
   anyway, if there is a write failure, entire commit is going to fail. So, 
does not matter whether we fail 1 record or more than 1.
