On the website
[https://hudi.apache.org/docs/1.0.1/schema_evolution#type-promotions] there is
a chart of the schema evolutions we support, but we unofficially support more
types.
Expand the list of valid promotions in
org.apache.hudi.common.testutils.HoodieTestDataGenerator.SchemaEvolutionTypePromotionCase.
Then create tickets to document support gaps and fix them
Then update the website
