@dataproblems `s3a` file system implemented by `hadoop-aws` is what we suggested to use when working with Hudi tables on S3. `s3` native file system implementation is provided by EMR. cc @CTTY to give more details if needed. NPE might be related to the bug in `1.0.0-beta1`. `1.0.0-beta2` should work.
