### Version main branch ### Describe what's wrong Iceberg REST table and column field-length validation may occur after an external catalog mutation. Staged create requests can bypass table-name validation, while register/overwrite requests can update the metadata pointer before an invalid column name or comment is rejected. ### Error message and/or stacktrace The request returns HTTP 400 with an `IllegalArgumentException`, although the external table or metadata pointer may already have been changed. ### How to reproduce 1. Commit a staged create using `AssertTableDoesNotExist` and a table name longer than 128 characters. 2. Alternatively, register or overwrite a table using metadata containing an oversized column name or comment. 3. Observe that validation fails after the catalog mutation. ### Additional context Fixed by https://github.com/apache/gravitino/pull/13551. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
