@jerqi @LauraXia123 I have cleaned up the code and I feel it is ready for review now. I understand that this affects a lot of files. So please let me know if you want to have a syncup offline to walk through the changes/demo the workflows, or even if you want me to split this into multiple PRs for easier review.
