# Proposed changes
The valid value of the NODE_ROLE interface is only 'computation'. When the
input value is 'computation', the BE node is initialized as a Computer Node
node. If the input value is not 'computation' or the value is not input, the BE
node is The default is 'mix' node. For more information about the usage of the
Computer Node node, please refer to the chapter on Computer Node Features on
the Apache Doris official website.
