kiwiflyer removed a comment on issue #2611: Ceph RBD primary storage fails connection and renders node unusable URL: https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/issues/2611#issuecomment-440718448 So a couple of observations - I have a 4.11 lab now installed from scratch (not an upgrade) and this issue doesn't exist. I did notice that the pool userInfo is not encrypted in this lab. In the 4.9.x -> 4.11.1 system I was asked to look at, the userInfo was encrypted. Looking back through commits since around 4.10->4.11, it looks like there were some changes to how some encrypted data was being returned in the APIs. Although, I have no smoking gun yet, I'm wondering whether there are some other changes, other than configuration api returns, that have also been modified to not returned unencrypted content. The commit that turned me onto this is - https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/commit/fca41148b7fafe891df6264b178d2e0baf184ecf I'm not suggesting this commit is the problem, but I'm certainly exploring whether this issue could be being caused by an unintended consequence similar to tightening up security.
