Ok, I'm going to land like the proverbial fly in the 💩 - with my ops hat on, why would the reported VM memory change when the overcommit factor changes? To me over-provisioning is all about stretching resources. The memory allocated to a VM should never be subject to change - VM started with 32GB RAM continues to report that regardless of the factor change. The only thing that changes should be the total available memory which can be used for launching new VMs. At the same time, having to ask such a basic question points to the fact I am probably misunderstanding the problem, so I'll be happy to stand corrected. And worry number 2 - I'd hate for any change we decide to implement here and now to affect negatively existing environments and expectations. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
