Currently it's possible to query the schema to retrieve the list of tables and
the columns within those tables, but it doesn't appear to be possible to do so
for indexes.
The possibility to create and update the schema from code is very useful -
especially when there is a requirement to maintain multiple parallel
environments (testing, staging, production, etc).
