That questions our whole hypothesis. I think that adding expired among obsoletions in transaction is useless. If you go into checkpoint() the first thing it logs is "staged". In there, all SSTables are among obsoletes already so us adding it there is pretty much redundant. I am not sure I just have not covered some scenario to trigger this addition as useful.
