that checkstyle supports JDK17 already?
I would like to propose to exclude eclipse-warnings from this ticket scope in
favor of CASSANDRA-18239. If that one is not going to land soon - we can open
separate one for fixing eclipse-warnings when CASSANDRA-18239 gets more clarity
on next actions and timelines.
I thought we want to switch the targets to be run in CI only with 11 now, the
way they were run only with 8 before but with this patch they run with both 8
and 11. I think the choice of running those targets with only one of the JDK
versions was done in favor of saving resources.
