Aaron Turner commented on CASSANDRA-2862:
-----------------------------------------
I actually gave up on using counters completely (for other reasons) so I don't
have any test data hanging around. I'll try to find some time to try, but
obviously not a high priority for me right now.
> CounterColumn names sometimes display as hex in CLI

> Seems to happen with only certain CF's, but can't understand why:
> list GlobalAggs;
> Using default limit of 100
> -------------------
> RowKey: 201107_ifinucastpkts
> => (counter=000000004e12b670, value=261710244)
> ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Bad
> list RouterAggs;
> Using default limit of 100
> -------------------
> RowKey: 1_201107_ifindiscards
> => (counter=1309849200, value=0)
> ^^^^^^^^^^ Good
> Note that both column names are equivalent values.
> CF definitions for above:
> create column family RouterAggs
> with column_type = Standard
> and key_validation_class = AsciiType
> and comparator = LongType
> and default_validation_class = CounterColumnType
> and comment = 'Storage for router aggregate stats';
