I'm not sure which window script you are referring ("existed in release (4.3.0)
edition"), but the windows scripts were broken since Java11 support was
introduced in CASSANDRA-9608 (see CASSANDRA-14608).
Fix for CASSANDRA-14608 was posted, but decided to drop support for Windows
instead of fixing it in 4.0, due to the lack of testing.
