C* 2.2 supports Java 7, in addition to Java 8. Adding a workflow to build
against Java7 (in addition to existing Java8 build) would ensure any release we
make on 2.2 does not break the contract of Java 7 compatibility.
There are multiple approaches of solving this - one is CircleCi build (this),
and other is to add a step into the development phase for a much faster
feedback loop [14563|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-14563]
