EmryZhang opened a new pull request, #280: URL: https://github.com/apache/casbin-cpp/pull/280
Prepare the pending C++ 1.68.0 release requested in #279 in one change, including the fast-path and compiled-regex-cache work already on master. - Align CMake and the optional local Python binding at 1.68.0; update Apache/incubation metadata, source naming, legal files and installation contents. Preserve the public CMake target, C++ namespace, vcpkg port and Python import identities. - Normalize contribution headers while retaining historical notices and the separate ExprTk, Go IP-parser, pybind build-helper and gitignore license terms. Pin the already selected CMake dependency versions to commits; include the appropriate legal material in local static-library and Python packages. - Fix configuration tests for an independent build directory. Bound Ticker to one callback worker, allow prompt stop/restart, and avoid holding the timer state lock while joining. Add matcher differential/cache-boundary and Ticker lifecycle regressions. - Export unsigned RC sources only. Final tag pushes publish nothing; an explicit final dispatch verifies promoted ASF originals, signatures, checksums and file correspondence before mirroring them. Disable credential persistence and retain no automatic vcpkg force-push/PR; the documented port template uses the approved ASF source. Python bindings remain local builds, with no PyPI upload workflow. Validation: Windows GCC 15.2 with a static MinGW runtime and Linux/WSL each pass all 81 C++ tests. A separately installed Windows wheel built from the actual sdist and the Linux binding each pass 18 tests. The installed CMake package passes a separate version-exact C++17 consumer with allow/deny and path-matching checks. All 25 default benchmark cases execute with reduced measurement rounds; 12 source-publication safeguard tests, strict Twine checks, actionlint and Gitleaks pass. The 264-file source inventory fully matches RAT coverage: 225 approved, 34 individually reviewed BSD/CC0 exceptions, 3 notice files and 2 manually reviewed binary-classified assets/metadata files. The large file count mainly reflects contribution-header normalization. Runtime changes are limited to Ticker and the stop guard; the upstream matching optimization is unchanged. A separate control without Casbin reproduces the local MinGW dynamic-runtime TLS failure, so Windows validation uses the matching static runtime. MSVC could not link locally without the Windows SDK; macOS, other Python versions and hosted CI remain to be verified. Benchmark execution is not a new speedup claim. This PR creates no RC, signature, staging area, release vote, package publication or announcement; project review and all later release gates remain separate. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
