Maybe externalize would work, but don't we have the properties duplicated anyway? In the parent pom and in the externalized properties file? This build system is stable from a while, eventhough it's not perfect. Yeah. I think the build works just fine. It can certainly be improved, of course, but it does not seem to me like there's a big problem.
