Most (all?) newer smart phones have a QR reader built into their camera app.  It might not be enabled by default, so you should be able to go into the  settings on the camera app and check there.

My esteemed listmates,

I used a free QR code reader for the past year which worked great but that
doesn't seem to be listed in Google Play anymore for Androids.

I installed Binary Eye and it took a lot of time to finally scan a QR code
on a package and then opens a window which doesn't tell me much.

The old QR Reader would tell me all sorts of info quickly.

I'd like a QR Reader which does not attract or come with a lot of tracking.

Are you using a QR Code Reader which doesn't attract a lot of tracking, is
free and easy to use?

Thank you!

Charles.
