The PCOM Georgia Library is hiring a Systems and Web Development Librarian. This person is is responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, and enhancing a wide range of technologies and systems to provide innovative library services and ensure access to the library’s extensive range of online information resources and digital collections. This position supports library staff and local and remote library users in the use of existing information technology as well as the adoption of new technology. This position works collaboratively with staff on both campuses on issues related to access, network compatibility and use of library electronic resources. Required Experience: Minimum two years related experience with technologies used to provide access to databases and electronic resources. Database management and data analysis experience. Experience with web standards and scripting using HTML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript and jQuery, PHP and user-centered and responsive web design. Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends including web 2.0 applications. Knowledge and understanding of issues and practices related to electronic information and resources, copyright and intellectual property rights, and scholarly communication.
