At FSU we are using Islandora for both our Digital Library and our
Institutional Repository. We are currently looking at running Islandora in the
Amazon cloud (AWS). We are also investigating expanding existing functions to
be able to call our repository a research data repository. I'd be happy to
answer any questions.

Subject: Re: [CODE4LIB] What DAMS does your institution use, and why?

Hello Steven and Everyone,
Great discussion. I work with a lot of cultural heritage organizations as a
consultant. The two open source systems I support the most are:

   1. Collective Access
(https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__collectiveaccess.org_&d=DwIBaQ&c=HPMtquzZjKY31rtkyGRFnQ&r=Q_viHZPMoiy7Cr7c51Swujsphok4sCGGxiIh6YlpTBQ&m=GGbEsDpEYt3TXZcFVhBGliX5XFqLYBfFg6uU3yArUEo&s=OVFEb3VQM4D9b-XNSBt5PD4lr123XdOOYn8iYaMVFkQ&e=)
 Robust collection
management, able to track objects, related documents, condition reports,
appraisals, storage and exhibitions, loans, scholarship. public facing
desktop and mobile apps available for creating access your collections.
   2. ResourceSpace
(https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.resourcespace.com_&d=DwIBaQ&c=HPMtquzZjKY31rtkyGRFnQ&r=Q_viHZPMoiy7Cr7c51Swujsphok4sCGGxiIh6YlpTBQ&m=GGbEsDpEYt3TXZcFVhBGliX5XFqLYBfFg6uU3yArUEo&s=oScjgj6ZhCBvyYI578QCmpf69GlBQi71O9gvKGt65WQ&e=)
 is less complex, quick
to set up, use when you require media management or sharing with other
internal teams like marketing, it does well integrating with a collection
management solution like C/A TMS, Emu. Also integrated with youtube, vimeo,
   and social networks.

Both of these run in a LAMP environment as you would use for Wordpress or
Drupal.

With Regards,
