Hi all,

Are we allowed to access the sound files in "/System/Library/Audio/UISounds/“
in our iOS app store submissions, or if we want to play a short sound do we
have to supply our own sound file? I am guessing not, as they are outside the
app sandbox.

I want to play a sound indicating that the user has tried to type a non-allowed
character (e.g. a letter where a number is needed) in conjunction with
"textField:textField shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString:” I was
thinking of “tink.caf” or “tock.caf"

I found a list of sound files at GitHub, but also saw a post on Stack Overflow
that said using system sound id codes was not allowed.

Assuming we aren’t allowed to access the system sound files, can anyone
recommend a safe place to get free-to-use sound files?

Thanks,

Don
