In iOS 7, my app works fine. In iOS 8, deleting an entity eventually works, but
whereas in iOS 7 my UI would update and show the change, the change doesn't
seem to have "taken hold" by this time in iOS 8.

Basically, when the user deletes an entity, I delete it from the MOC (main
thread), then mark my custom view as needing display. Its -drawRect: is called,
but when it asks the owning entity for the set of related entities it draws,
that set comes back with the deleted items still present (although they return
true for -isDeleted).

When a later event causes the custom view to refresh again, the entity
representations finally go away.

Has something changed in delete propagation between iOS 7 and 8?

TIA,
