That's what I thought, too.
protocol MyProtocol {
init()
// ...
}
func myFunction<T: MyProtocol>() {
// for(...) {
// p = ...
// if ( p is special ) {
let aClass = T()
// do something with aClass
// }
// }
}
There is a requirement that an init function must be part of the
protocol.
