Jerry, The example I was following comes from Stack Overflow and going something like this within the custom toolbar item:
NSButton *button = [[NSButton alloc]init]; [button setImage:[NSImage imageNamed:@"StarEmpty"]]; [button setAlternateImage:[NSImage imageNamed:@"StarFull"]]; [button setImagePosition:NSImageOnly]; [button setBordered:NO]; [self.toolbarItem setView:button]; At any rate, I tried your suggestion and I still got nothing. I will continue to hammer at it, but if not I will just get rid of the toolbar roll some custom NSButtons. Thanks.
