What is it with you and this thread? He’s already stated his requirements and asked for workarounds and solutions. The only people dragging this discussion kicking and screaming away from Cocoa is those people that keep showing up without any suggestions for solution, telling someone who says it’s OK to mimic the way Windows does it for his use case he can’t possibly be right. You have no idea what kind of test he is administering. You have no idea what his legal/project requirements are in detail. Offer a solution and point out the caveats. It is his decision whether he will implement your suggestion, and also his responsibility if he doesn’t research his approach correctly. That’s why he gets paid. Why don’t you leave the decision what is OT to the list admins and consider the beam in your eye instead of the mote in others’?
