Well, if this is a non-sandboxed Mac app, anything is *possible*.

schemes are way more prone to bugs and breakage.

Leonardo, you are getting good advice here from John dangerwillrobinsondanger.  
In my case, when I got a reply message from the Apple engineer saying that this 
was not possible, I said “OK” and moved on to something else.  It’s time to 
step back and say, “Does my app *really* need this feature?"
