Thanks for the suggestion, Kyle. I subclassed NSTextViewCell and implemented -setUpFieldEditorAttributes. My apologies to anyone who initially followed this thread and has had to wait till now for a solution/outcome. This became a low-priority issue almost as soon as I posted it and I only got back to it two days ago.
