Ever since the first release of iOS (then called iPhone OS), the UISwitch has 
really bothered me:

1) It takes up too much valuable screen real-estate compared with a checkbox
2) The "On/Off" text can't even be customized - the checkbox NSButton in Mac OS 
X at least allows you to change its caption.

Could the geniuses at Apple please do a better job - surely a custom view 
should be easy enough for them to incorporate in iOS 6... :) Sure, I could make 
a custom view, but then I'd have to import it into every iOS project - yuck. 
Plus, what if they already have something like this planned? Their look & feel 
wouldn't match mine, then mine would just look geeky... Plus, it's probably get 
rejected from the app store. :(
