Ever since the first release of iOS (then called iPhone OS), the UISwitch has really bothered me:
1) It takes up too much valuable screen real-estate compared with a checkbox 2) The "On/Off" text can't even be customized - the checkbox NSButton in Mac OS X at least allows you to change its caption. Could the geniuses at Apple please do a better job - surely a custom view should be easy enough for them to incorporate in iOS 6... :) Sure, I could make a custom view, but then I'd have to import it into every iOS project - yuck. Plus, what if they already have something like this planned? Their look & feel wouldn't match mine, then mine would just look geeky... Plus, it's probably get rejected from the app store. :( _______________________________________________ Cocoa-dev mailing list (Cocoa-dev@lists.apple.com) Please do not post admin requests or moderator comments to the list.
