To be clear, you'll have to pass either the "-a" or "-A" options to "ls" for it to show hidden files. I.e. "ls -A ~/Documents". > run your app to recreate the situation. > You'll find out really fast if your app is doing something nasty. Well, maybe. It may have been a fluke dependent on any number of other factors unique to that particular user's system.
