The documentation indeed doesn’t say -[NSDateFormatter init] is deprecated; 
however, it no longer appears to contain -[NSDateFormatter init] in its list of 
instance methods at all. Even though -init is derived from the superclass, it’s 
pretty confusing to have only one init method show up in the docs, that method 
being the one you’re *not* supposed to use, and that should probably be fixed.
