I have several files containing all the magic word "Krukudill" (a word not widely used in polite circles).
The files are called: Test Roman (encoding = Mac OS Roman) Test 8 (Utf 8) Test 16 (Utf 16) Test.rtf etc. When I ask Spotlight about Krukudill, it shows me just one file: "Test Roman". The files all (except Test.rtf) have an ExtendedAttribute com.apple.TextEncoding = ... and their ContentType is public.data. What do I have to do to make Spotlight look at my files? If not all, but at least Utf-8, Utf-16 and Rtf should be found. I am trying to make my editor save files in such a way that Spotlight has a chance to index them. Kind regards, Gerriet. _______________________________________________ Cocoa-dev mailing list (Cocoa-dev@lists.apple.com) Please do not post admin requests or moderator comments to the list.
