The icons in mail.app are somewhat discussed in the WWDC session 113 video, but there is not much documentation regarding this. Im using Adobe Illustrator to make vector icons, and save them as PDF, and use the naming convention iconn...@template.pdf. But Im not completely satisfied with the result. What is the best practice/best workflow for getting the best possible glyphs/icons?
