Or does it have only a reference to the CVPixelBuffer's bitmap? Documentation says that CIImage is not actually an image, but rather a recipe for making one. Does that mean, that it requires CVPixelBuffer object to exist and be unchanged for the whole time i am operating with CIImage up to the moment i am drawing it onto some context?
