I disagree. There's no reason why NSPopUpBotton or NSPopUpCell couldn't apply the value transformer to each item in the array rather than the array itself, just like NSTableColumn does. Also, nobody among this august email list's membership believed that NSPopUpButton/Cell would do what it actually is doing. That strongly suggests that it's not doing the right thing. What it is doing is a "valid" choice, but it's a bad choice, and it should be doing something else.
