> And "modern"? You're kidding, right? The controls are what they are and should be used as intended. The pop-up behavior for menus suggests selection. Pull-down suggests commands. The simple positioning of the menu really does communicate intent. If you want your app to actually feel and act like a Mac app, I suggest you not try to change the behavior of a popup to replicate a "drop-down list" from another OS, simply because the menu would cover up a control that by definition would be currently unusable.
