On iOS you'd have to use the functions CGColorGetColorSpace(), 
CGColorGetNumberOfComponents(), and CGColorGetComponents() to access the color 
space and the components, but I really can't recommend branching on color 
information, because color components are floating point numbers rather than 
integers.
