Xcode 2.4.3 was the last version for 10.4 and 2.5 was the compatibility version which ran on 10.5. I'm pretty sure 2.5 should work. Ah, sources tell me that 3.1.3 is the latest that works and 3.2 went Intel only. So it looks like 3.1.3 is the version you want and you just went one minor release too far.
