I'd like to echo Jim's advice to make a standalone sample project.
Generalizing your description of the problem, you're saying that a
Core Data fetch predicated with "someBool == YES" does not work
correctly after a saved document is reopened. Think about that. It
means that either
(a) This is a major bug in Core Data that no one has ever noticed, and
many of us using Core Data are in deep doodoo.
(b) You've not yet identified all the conditions necessary to trigger
the problem.
You need to download Apple's DepartmentAndEmployees sample, add some
boolean attribute to the Employee entity, add some code to execute a
fetch as you've done in your app, and test. If it fails, the answer
is (a). File a bug. If not, make changes to your app or
DepartmentAndEmployees to make them more similar. Before the two apps
become identical, you'll find the answer.
Either way, reply and let us know. If it turned out to be a silly
mistake on your part, just say that.
I end up doing this several times in a typical month. Usually, I find
my silly mistake before posting :)
