That's unlikely. CFURLGetFSRef needs a CFURLRef or NSURL, not an NSString. If you want help with your code, *post your code*. It is pointless to try to describe in English what your code does. You already have a perfectly good textual description of what your code does, written in a language that everybody on this mailing list can read: your code itself.
