The fact that you have no data to suggest this will cause slowdown, or even happen, is what makes it a non-issue. It's a classic case of premature optimization: you don't have any obviously more efficient or more correct ways of solving the same problem, and you have no data to suggest you need to search for a non-obvious implementation, so you do not yet need to optimize.
