According to the docs, acceptable time zone names include names like "US/Pacific". What are the other names that can be used? Central, Mountain, Atlantic? What's Hawaii's in this style?

If you'd like to know, then take a look at the contents of the directory /usr/share/zoneinfo.

I can't find "US/*" names in the list supplied by [NSTimeZone knownTimeZoneNames], or in online sources.

That's because they were taken out in Leopard. Several other countries' were as well.

Huh. They seem to exist in /usr/share/zoneinfo:

$ pwd
/usr/share/zoneinfo/US
$ ls
Alaska Aleutian Arizona Central East-Indiana Eastern Hawaii Indiana-Starke Michigan Mountain Pacific Samoa

I'm actually running code in the iPhone simulator right now. Should these lists be the same across SDKs on Mac OS X 10.5+?
