I'm not sure where to begin with this one, but I want to create some music purely through code; no use of devices or instruments or anything. That said, I don't want to to come out sounding like beeps or bloops; I'd rather like to be able to play around with generating sound like I can do with graphics programming.
If you want to make music and not sound like beeps and bloops, maybe you should work a little on the conceptual side of your problem - maybe consider some music theory / computer music classes or tutorials before dealing with the programming aspects.
Then I'd definetly go through the Csound tutorials and maybe even get RIchard Boulanger's Csound Book, and try to get a lot of familiarity with sound design concepts an techniques. I am sure by then lots of ideas will start to pop up.
