Actually, I asked for the benefit of others on the list who may not know what "report writing" means when former or current Windows (or Java) developers mention it.
As I've said, my experience is that most Mac developers aren't line-of- business or other custom business app developers; this is a major difference in the developer experience between the typical Mac developer and the typical Windows developer.
Even those Mac developers working on custom business apps are more likely to be working on tools for publishing workflow rather than for (say) customer or inventory management, as Windows developers are more likely to be doing.
All I'm really asking is that people consider whether the average Mac developer is likely to be familiar with the terminology used by developers on other platforms with different markets, and provide short explanations where they might not be. :)
