Yes, take a look at -setObjectValue:. This point confused me for ages. There's no NSColorWellCell, unfortunately, or else this would be already done for you. Instead, just subclass NSCell, override -setObjectValue:, and implement -drawRect: appropriately. Make sure to call -[NSTableColumn setDataCell:].
