How do I make a button like the mini calendar in ical (the one that show the days and when one is selected , it shows the day with a blue gradient)?

You've got to write one yourself and do all of the drawing, calendrical calculations (which is made somewhat easier by the NSCalendar class), event handling, etc. This is not easy if you are a beginner.

That I part I figured :) disapointing that they don t have a widget pre-made like GTK or KDE have... Building the logic was not hard, nor the even handling (I just use series of buttons) but getting the UI to look similar within the buttons seems to be trickier. My question was more about the drawing of the button themselve (each of the day) and how to make each individual button looking like the one in that mini calendar rather than building the calendar.

Of course, if mimicking the UI is not important, then you can use the built-in NSDatePicker control.

I ll take a look at it . Look like it might sufficient for now :)
