What I'm envisioning from your previous descriptions is apparently different than what you actually have. There is something (or several somethings) I'm not understanding about your setup. Is it possible for you to post a pared-down version of your project somewhere for myself and others on the list to take a look at? At the very least, try to create a separate Xcode project with a similar data model and simplified interface that reflects what you're attempting to do and post that instead. The very act of doing so may even help you understand what's going on before you post it. The problem, essentially, is that there are a lot of aspects to your approach that I just can't see, which leads to a lot of (necessary) assumptions on my part. I don't think this is going to help you very much.
