Log a bug/enhancement request with Apple via http://bugreport.apple.com After 7+ years, it really is time for them to provide a public plug-in API for Mail. The more developers that log enhancement requests, the better chance Apple might finally take notice and provide a real plug-in API instead features like "stationery", notes, or "new icons" for Mail.
