I don't like encoding datatypes in keywords (it reminds me of very heated discussions with certain DB admins in my WebObjects days). I was thinking of a set of defined keywords and using a plist (traditional or xml) to encode the values with. That's a lot more flexible. And if you use a schema, you will also have localised names of keywords. That can be handy if you need to populate a user interface where you need to display attributes that are out of your control.
