Assuming that you’re copying an item that is listed in the navigator pane, then the correct thing to do is to select it in the navigator, show the File inspector, and change the Location popup to “Relative to Build Products”. However, if this is the Products group, when I looked at a project of mine, Xcode 11 doesn’t let me change that popup — it’s already locked to “Relative to Build Products”.
